At AppZen, he was instrumental in growing the team tenfold, securing major enterprise deals, and establishing key global partnerships.

As a homeschooling parent, Jonathan brings personal insight to his role at SmartPath, where he is dedicated to developing tools that simplify and enhance home education.

Robert Gamble,

Co-Founder & COO

Robert is an experienced operator with a strong background in scaling high-growth startups across Europe and the U.S. He has led operations, logistics, and strategic partnerships for companies such as Bird, Gorillas, Rocket, and GO Sharing, managing teams in over 13 countries and overseeing multimillion-dollar budgets.

At SmartPath, Robert focuses on building robust systems and tools to support families in their homeschooling journey.

Kurtis Welch, CTO

Kurtis is a technologist and AI innovator with nearly two decades of experience in software development. He has led multiple high-growth ventures, including ZenSales and MCPVP, and most recently founded Recursive AI, where he developed advanced self-organizing AI agents.

As a former homeschooling parent, Kurtis understands the challenges of home education firsthand. At SmartPath, he leads the technology and product development efforts, creating intuitive and reliable tools tailored to the needs of homeschool families.

Sam Sorbo,

Strategic Advisor

Sam is a nationally recognized education advocate, author, and longtime homeschool parent. With a background in science and media, she empowers parents to rethink education and embrace greater freedom for their families.

She brings strategic insight and helps expand SmartPath’s reach through her thought leadership in the school choice movement.

Eric Perez,

Technology Advisor

Eric is the CTO of Originate and a seasoned engineering leader with over 20 years of experience in software development.
